God’s delivery of your needs and/or wants in unexpected ways at unexpected times almost seems to good to be true for the unbeliever. He can and has done just that and more for me. In the Bible these wondrous acts were deemed miracles. Because they were amazing, enormous feats that could only be accomplished through the Spirit of the living God! This is part two in a twelve part writing challenge series with Rooted in Grace and Gratitude. Visit her site here to get her take on the same topic.
Miracles: Then and Now
Of course, there are people today that claim there are present day miracles and I’m inclined to believe there are! I’m not saying there’s anything occurring like took place in Jesus’ time but I believe that today’s coincidences are present day miracles (Mark 10:27)! Think about this from the perspective of a Christ believer who is looking to see God in all things including the scary bad things to the most delightful things! Have you ever had something absolutely wonderful happen out of the blue? Did you ever stop to think that it was God moving in your life? Have you ever had something happen that nearly shook your foundation to the core? Did you ever stop to think that God was moving in the midst of that?
Christian, we read in our Bible to look for God’s presence and in all things we can find Him, good and bad (I Chronicles 16:11). It is In those great and glorious times that we feel His love enveloping us so strongly. We know He’s holding us and guiding us through our situations. It is easy to see Him as events unfold around us. However, God’s delivery of your needs happens in those tumultuous times too. When we feel alone and we don’t feel His presence or, for that matter, we don’t see anything but pain, sorrow, strife, or our sin? In sorrowful times we must call on God’s promises. We find them throughout scripture. We must cling to them drawing them from the recesses of our hearts when the clouds of despair try to overcome us and make us hide our faces from God (Deuteronomy 31:6,8). Above all what is best is being faithful to Christ.
God’s Coincidence
Unbeliever, if you are reading this then I’m of the idea that you are seeking God’s face, searching for hope and love. You have not arrived here by a mere coincidence! Albert Einstein said, “Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous. ” Jeremiah 29:13 says if you seek with all your heart you will find Him. God has a wonderful mysterious air about Him that is loving, comforting, glorious, and even to be feared. Those who turn to Him for their care and His guidance can speak of all these attributes and more. So if you’re seeking God today and need help to know His truth, please email me here. I’ll be glad to help you through any questions you may have.
